The Iran issue
The present scenario of the world is pretty evident - the world seems to be divided into two distinct camps. The Islamic camp.i.e. if we can deem it worthy to be called a camp and the US-led camp.The aims of US-led camp is ,at the moment , is to take over Iran . And in this ,she's backed by Europe and many other allies . When talking about Pakistan ,we are forced to say that it's still in a state of between the devil and the deep blue sea.As for the states of Arabian peninsula , though the visit of Iranian President did diffuse some tensions , still it seems the rulers there seems to be judging the battle on the same old scale - the survival or destruction of Shi'ites and not the Muslims .
It's shameful on the part of us Muslims that while acting the "piuos" creed , we still have so much of biase fitted into our minds that we don't even shove it off when it comes to tight situations like wars . Same is occuring right now .The Arabian states , with the majority of Sunnis' population seem to be leaning towards US if it wages a war against Iran . This is shameful , for the Arabian states will do so purely on sectarian reasons only .
While Iran stands highest among Muslim countries , in the eyes of common Muslims and it's a truth that a would-be war against Iran will be the consequences for securing this hero-like position among common Muslims by talking like a country which is independent and which has got it's own self-dignity . It's also a hero for Muslims because Ahmadinijad dared , perhaps for the first time from amongst Muslims , to talk so strongly against the brutalities of Israel and say out his loud statements without any hesitation . This ,at one side stirred the Neo-cons in White House making them worried about Israel's security and at the other made Israel even more suspicious of Iran's intentions which'd been not friendly towards it ,at all , provided the enough proof posed in the Lebanon-Israel war through Hamas' help from Iran .
And this was the point when the excuse was produced . Iran announced to get nuclear energy for producing electricity and other civil purposes but to US, a hero-like Iran was not bearable , let alone a more-developing Iran having nuclear energy even for peaceful purposes . Therefore the very lame excuse of the nukes thing was produced from thin air which seems ridiculous at the very surfaced post-mortum . Aquiring a certain level of Uranium extraction makes one country able to "start preparing" to go towards the path to make nukes. While Iran hasn't even got that level , and don't either intend to , US brings the "normal-level of Uranium extraction" to UN asking to impose sanctions against Iran .
This all is done under the disguise of preventing Iran from attaining nukes which , though a false claim , is an absolutely hypocritcal stance of US . If at one side , a little country right in the heart of Arab Islamic countries attains nukes with the help of Britain , an expert in creating clashes-over-owning-area , why on Earth Iran is denied the right ? Do that makes US and Israel fear that the balance of power which's been leaning heavily towards Israel for the last many decades with US and Britain's support , might become balanced once a nuclear power emerges in the region ?Yes , it certainly do .
And now here comes the role of the Muslim world . With more then 1.5 billion Muslims in the world , it's really pitiful what weight their opinion carries .All so just because this opinion is not even allowed to surface up and create a strong voice , under the dictatorship of US-blessed rulers . It's not very evident but it's anticipatable that Muslims are frustrated of these rulers ,more then ever and it won't come as a surprise when the whole Middle East erupts like Iran once did , against these dictators at the occurence of a maybe-war against Iran .
It's all VERY evident that common Muslims have absolutely NOTHING againt Iran . Nearly all of them support Iran and nearly all of them are awed when the President of Iran speaks the truth right in the face of camera , without considering the fear of "being pushed to stone age." To Muslims , Ahmadinijad is a hero and USA a vilian which has already swallowed Iraq and Afghanistan and now drools over Iran's oil . A common Sunni Muslim on a common street of Pakistan , when asked , would be proud to raise a slogan in favour of Iran and Ahmadinijad letting all religious biases aside and the same Pakistani will , very certainly , be found cursing them when Sunni rulers of Middle East are brought into conversation . This predicts very clearly the mindset and sides of common Muslims.
What is left now is what'll be the role of Muslim rulers . Gen. Musharraf's statements on Iran issue tagged with the slogan of "sab say pahlay Pakistan" seem no different then the ones given when US attacked Afghanistan and Iraq . And it won't be a shock even if Pakistani government lends air bases to US to attack Iran , when such a moment comes . Afterall , who cares about the wrath of a attacked-by-US country especially when the stick-and-carrot masters are at the other side .
But if this do happen and if US do actually attack Iran , it is very obvious Pakistan will be nearing its worst days with most of its borders unsecure , its nuclear weapons criticized , its government pressurized and its armies dying in eliminating "terrorists." And I really wonder what will become of the "Sab say pahlay Pakistan" thing .i.e.if one don't even remain . I know this is a bold prediction , but to those who know what US usually do to its "close" friends, it won't be much shocking .
This is high time that the rulers of Muslim countries change sides and try to unite the Muslim world rather then guarding their own interests for if they keep doing so , the day when the same would occur to them won't be far since the other side considers them only as a "Muslim" country and Muslim, to the other side ,means a very-probabaly-terrorist.If the Muslim rulers don't shun this line and if they keep considering US-favour as a support enough for their dictatoships , they should remember Irani revolution and Raza Shah Pahlvi.
